Old School Hip-Hip, Midlife Crisis And Musical Genres

Making Music In The Twenties Of The 21st Century

  Episode #9

The release of one of my latest songs, IN YOUR DNA, is doing well. The song is already on several curated Spotify Playlists and it was featured on Boom Bap Nation, a reliable source for Hip Hop worldwide. I was very happy about that.
Especially because the song is really my very first real hip-hop song.
My brother was like, "Pretty old school, but I dig it."
And I thought, "Yeah, that's because I'm pretty old school myself by now, or just old."
Malicious tongues claim that this can only be the midlife crisis, when he suddenly starts doing hip-hop at the age of 45.
And so what? At least I don't jump out of airplanes, dye my hair blond and approach 18-year-old girls in an embarrassing way.
I'm a musician, for God's sake! And I've never been able to come to accept the fact that, unfortunately, I've only been allowed to deal with one musical genre my entire life.
MASTER'S MONKEYS contains all my musical influences.

New Hip-Hop Is Coming Up

Speaking of Hip-Hop, I also have a nice and disturbing video of a new song, called DON’T FEEL SO WELL. It is a dark and apocalyptic song.
I already showed you the lyrics in Episode #7.

You can  DOWNLOAD THE SONG  directly from the creator for your own music collection. Awesome!

So, I'm all done for this time.

Ev’rybody, have a good time!
